New Issue: UBS prices $1.28 million trigger autocallable contingent yield notes on two stocks

By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, Aug. 30 – UBS AG, London Branch priced $1.28 million of 0% trigger autocallable contingent yield notes due March 5, 2018 linked to the common stocks of Celgene Corp. and Qualcomm Inc., according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will pay a contingent quarterly coupon at an annual rate of 10.25% if each stock closes at or above its coupon barrier level, 80% of its initial level, on the observation date for that quarter.

The notes will be called at par if each stock closes at or above its initial level on any quarterly observation date prior to the final date.

The payout at maturity will be par unless either stock finishes below the downside threshold level, 80% of its initial level, in which case investors will lose 1% for every 1% decline of the worse performing stock.
