Fifth Third to redeem $700 million 2.6% notes due 2022 at par

Lexington, Ky., March 10 – Fifth Third Bancorp will redeem all outstanding 2.6% fixed-rate senior notes due June 15, 2022 (Cusip: 316773CU2) on May 16, according to a press release Thursday.

The notes will be redeemed at par plus interest.

The notes were originally issued June 15, 2017 for $700 million.

On the redemption date, interest will cease to accrue and, after the redemption, no notes will remain outstanding.

Wilmington Trust Co. is the trustee.

Fifth Third is a Cincinnati-based diversified financial services company.
