Shinsei Bank buys back $119 million, ¥3.1 billion perpetual preferreds

Chicago, March 30 - Shinsei Bank, Ltd. said it repurchased some dollar-denominated non-cumulative perpetual preferred securities issued by three of its wholly owned Cayman Islands finance subsidiaries.
The issuers are Shinsei Finance (Cayman) Ltd., Shinsei Finance II (Cayman) Ltd. and Shinsei Finance III (Cayman) Ltd.
The Tokyo-based bank bought back $119 million and ¥3.1 billion of the preferreds from October 2009 through March.
