SunTrust adds Glenn Stewart as loan syndicate, sales and trading head

By Toni Weeks

San Diego, June 14 - SunTrust Robinson Humphrey announced that Glenn L. Stewart has joined the company as managing director and head of loan syndicate, sales and trading.

Stewart joins the firm from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was a managing director and head of U.S. loan syndications, sales and analytics. He also held roles in credit risk management, project finance, private placements and leasing for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Westinghouse Credit Corp., Mellon Bank Corp. and PNC Bank Corp.

"Glenn is an experienced and proven leader in the leveraged finance market, and his expertise and market knowledge will be a valuable addition to our leveraged finance platform," John N. Gregg Jr., managing director and head of capital markets, said in a press release.

"Our ability to attract Glenn is both a validation of our strong efforts to date to grow our leveraged and syndicated finance business to serve our client's needs and an indication of our growth potential in this area."

Stewart earned his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and his master's degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh.

SunTrust Robinson Humphrey is the corporate and investment banking arm of Atlanta-based SunTrust Banks, Inc.
