S&P rates Sun Life debentures A

S&P said it assigned its A debt rating to Sun Life Financial Inc.'s issuance of fixed-to-floating-rate subordinated debentures due 2034. The bonds are callable at par at year seven.

The rating is consistent with S&P’s ratings on Sun Life’s outstanding subordinated debt.

The outlook is stable.
