S&P affirms Suncorp

Standard & Poor's said it affirmed the A+ rating on Suncorp-Metway Ltd. and its core operating companies.

S&P said the affirmation reflects solid progress in integrating Promina group, the group's sound premium growth and its supportive capitalization and reinsurance despite challenging weather and financial market conditions.

The outlook remains positive.
