Quercus cuts stake in Spire to 9.0%

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 29 - Spire Corp. investor Quercus Trust sold 92,363 shares, reducing its stake to 9.0% from 10.13%.

The shares were sold between Aug. 8 and Aug. 28 at prices from $9.65 to $11.22 per share, according to a schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Between Feb. 11 and Aug. 6, Quercus sold 178,369 Spire shares, a prior SEC filing said.

Quercus beneficially owns 751,324 shares of the Bedford, Mass., technology company's outstanding stock.
