Citigroup to price principal-protected notes linked to S&P 500

Tacoma, Wash., Oct. 2 – Citigroup Inc. plans to price 0% market-linked notes due Nov. 1, 2022 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
If the final index level is greater than the initial index level, the payout at maturity will be par plus the index return, subject to a maximum payout that is expected to be $1,500 to $1,600 per $1,000 principal amount of notes and will be set at pricing. If the final index level is less than or equal to the initial index level, the payout will be par.
Citigroup Global Markets Inc. is the underwriter.
The notes are expected to price Oct. 27.
The Cusip number is 17298C2Z0.
