New Issue: Barclays prices $21.23 million 0% PLUS with 16.2% cap linked to S&P 500

Chicago, June 1 - Barclays Bank plc priced $21.23 million of 0% Performance Leveraged Upside Securities due July 3, 2013 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus triple any index gain, up to a maximum return of 16.2%.
Investors will be exposed to any losses.
Barclays Capital Inc. is the underwriter with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC as dealer.
