Barclays plans to issue barrier autocallable notes linked to the S&P 500

New York, Aug. 17 – Barclays Bank plc plans to issue 0% barrier autocallable notes due Aug.19, 2027 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes will be called at par plus a 12.5% redemption premium if the index closes at or above its initial level on Aug. 17, 2023.
If the notes are not called, the payout at maturity will be par plus two times the index return if the index finishes at or above its initial level.
If the index declines by up to 30%, the payout will be par; otherwise, investors will be fully exposed to the decline of the index from its initial level.
Barclays is the agent.
The notes were expected to price on Aug. 16 and to settle on Aug. 19.
The Cusip number is 06748XNK3.
