Moody’s assigns Shinhan bonds A2

Moody’s Investors Service said it assigned an A2 foreign-currency senior unsecured debt rating to the Shinhan Card Co., Ltd.’s proposed dollar-denominated bonds.

“The A2 foreign currency senior unsecured debt rating is in line with Shinhan Card’s A2 long-term issuer rating,” the agency said in a press release.

The proceeds will be used to repay the company’s debt and finance eligible social financing projects, as identified in the Shinhan Financial Group’s sustainable development goals financing framework.

The outlook on Shinhan Card is stable.
