SFX Entertainment wins approval of $1 million Fame House asset sale

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, May 26 – SFX Entertainment, Inc. received court approval of the sale of substantially all of the assets of its Fame House business to UMG Commercial Services, Inc., according to an order filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

UMG has agreed to pay $1 million in cash for the assets. It will also assume liabilities related to the Fame House business.

The company said its SFX Marketing LLC debtor does business as Fame House.

SFX said Fame House was the sole qualified bidder for the Fame House assets.

SFX, a New York-based producer of live events and entertainment content, filed bankruptcy on Feb. 1. The Chapter 11 case number is 16-10238.
