Morgan Stanley plans contingent income notes linked to Russell 2000

Chicago, Feb. 8 - Morgan Stanley plans to price contingent income securities due February 2023 linked to the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will pay a contingent monthly payment of at an annualized rate of 7% if the fund closes at or above the 50% coupon barrier level on the determination date for that month.

If the shares finish at or above the 50% downside threshold level, the payout at maturity will be par plus the contingent monthly payment.

Otherwise, investors will be fully exposed to any losses.

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC will be the agent.

The notes will price and settle in February.

The Cusip number is 61761JCP2.
