New Issue: RBC prices $6.81 million one-year Stars linked to Russell 2000 via BofA Merrill Lynch

San Luis Obispo, Calif., March 11 - Royal Bank of Canada priced $6.81 million of 0% Strategic Accelerated Redemption Securities due March 28, 2014 linked to the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

BofA Merrill Lynch is the agent.

If the index closes at or above its initial level on any quarterly observation date, the notes will be called at par of $10 plus an annualized call premium of 11.45%. The call dates are Sept. 23, 2013, Dec. 23, 2013 and March 21, 2014.

If the notes are not called, the payout at maturity will be par with exposure to any losses.
