New Issue: RBC prices $17.71 million leveraged buffered notes on iShares MSCI Emerging Markets

Madison, Wis., Oct. 12 - Royal Bank of Canada priced $17.71 million of 0% leveraged buffered notes due June 14, 2012 linked to the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets index fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 110% of any increase in the exchange-traded fund's share price, subject to a maximum settlement amount of $1,205.70 per $1,000 principal amount. Investors will receive par if the share price falls by 15% or less and will lose 1.1765% for every 1% decline beyond 15%.

Goldman, Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
