Moody's rates Rogers notes Baa2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa2 rating to Rogers Communications Inc.'s C$1 billion seven-year senior unsecured note issue.

The company's existing senior unsecured ratings were affirmed at Baa2.

The outlook remains stable.

Moody's said it is likely that proceeds will be used to indirectly fund shareholder return initiatives. Given the certainty from the company's leverage targets, however, the transaction is neutral to Rogers' credit profie, the agency said.
