Indonesia’s ABM Investama asks to allow investment under 7 1/8% notes

Chicago, Jan. 16 – PT ABM Investama Tbk. said it is soliciting consents to amend its $350 million of outstanding 7 1/8% senior notes due 2022 until 5 p.m. ET on Jan. 30.

The proposed amendments are being sought to allow the company “to make a strategic minority investment in an Indonesian company that holds the concession for a producing Indonesian coal mine using cash on hand,” according to a company announcement.

In connection with the planned investment, the target company is in discussions with the company and its subsidiaries to enter into certain service contracts, the release added.

The consent fee will be $3.50 per $1,000 principal amount.
