Fitch gives PG&E bonds BBB-

Fitch Ratings said it assigned BBB-/RR2 ratings to Pacific Gas and Electric Co.'s first mortgage bond issuance.

The agency affirmed PG&E’s BBB-/RR2 senior unsecured ratings on June 2.

The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes including repayment of outstanding borrowings under the utility's revolving credit facility.

The outlook is positive.
