Proliance International seeks exclusivity extension ahead of bar date

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Oct. 13 - Proliance International, Inc. requested an extension to its exclusive periods for filing a plan of reorganization and soliciting votes on the plan, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company wants to extend its exclusive plan-filing period to Jan. 31 from Oct. 30 and the solicitation period to March 31 from Dec. 29.

Proliance said it will be in a better position to determine whether its asset sale proceeds will be enough to pay administrative expense claims in full in cash on the plan effective date after the Nov. 2 administrative claims bar date.

A hearing is scheduled for Oct. 27.

Proliance International is a New Haven, Conn.-based manufacturer and distributor of aftermarket heat transfer and temperature control products for automotive and heavy-duty applications. It filed for bankruptcy on July 2. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-12278.
