S&P upgrades Poland
S&P said it raised its long-term foreign currency sovereign credit rating on Poland to A- from BBB+ and its long-term local currency sovereign credit rating to A from A-.
The outlooks on both ratings are stable.
At the same time, S&P raised its short-term local currency sovereign credit rating to A-1 from A-2, while affirming the A-2 short-term foreign currency sovereign credit rating.
“The upgrade reflects Poland's strong track record of balanced economic growth and fiscal prudence, as well as the diversity and competitiveness of its economy,” S&P said in a news release.
