Pinnacle Airlines gets precautionary two-month exclusivity extension

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, April 12 - Pinnacle Airlines Corp. obtained a third extension of its exclusive periods for filing and soliciting votes on a Chapter 11 plan of reorganization, according to an April 12 filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The company's exclusive filing period was extended to June 24 from April 25 and the vote solicitation period to Aug. 26 from June 25.

According to the motion, Pinnacle filed a proposed joint plan of reorganization and the court has approved the related disclosure statement. The plan confirmation hearing is scheduled for April 17.

The company said it requested the extension out of an abundance of caution.

Pinnacle, a Memphis, Tenn.-based operator of a regional airline, filed for bankruptcy on April 1, 2012. Its Chapter 11 case number is 12-11343.
