Peru files $5 billion shelf registration covering debt securities

Knoxville, Tenn., June 8 - The Republic of Peru filed a $5 billion shelf registration in a Schedule B filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The shelf includes $2.74 billion of previously registered but unsold securities.
The registration covers debt securities, warrants and units.
Proceeds will be used for the general purposes of the government.
