NYSE Euronext files automatic shelf registration

Knoxville, Tenn., May 16 - NYSE Euronext, Inc. filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3-ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers debt securities, preferred stock and common stock.

The preferreds and debt securities may be convertible.

Proceeds will be used to provide funds for general corporate purposes.

NYSE Euronext is an American/European for-profit corporation with headquarters in New York, which operates multiple securities exchanges.
