S&P rates NTT Finance notes A

S&P said it assigned its A long-term issue credit rating to NTT Finance Corp.'s planned euro-denominated unsecured green notes.

“The issue credit rating is equivalent to our long-term issuer credit rating on its parent, Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp. (NTT, A/stable/A-1), because we assess the status of NTT Finance within the NTT group as core and the leverage of the NTT group to be low enough to limit the possibility of the noteholders being significantly disadvantaged relative to other lenders,” S&P said in a press release.

NTT sold ¥300 billion of green bonds in the domestic market in October.

The outlook is stable.
