Fitch rates Northern States bonds A+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an A+ rating to Northern States Power Co. - Minnesota's issuance of $700 million of first mortgage bonds.

The rating is consistent with those on the issuer’s outstanding senior secured debt.

The proceeds will be used to pay down short-term debt, fund capital expenditures and for general corporate purposes.

The outlook is stable.
