Nortel Networks shows $620 million of cash, equivalents as of May 31

New York, July 7 – Nortel Networks Inc. reported $620.4 million of cash, cash equivalents and restricted cash as of May 31, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

In comparison, Nortel reported $624.8 million of cash, cash equivalents and restricted cash April 30.

The company also listed total assets of $732.8 million and total debt of $5,286,900,000 as of May 31.

Nortel, a Brampton, Ont.-based manufacturer and supplier of telecommunications networking equipment, filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 14, 2009. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-10138.
