Silver Point Capital Fund acquires $12.77 million National Energy & Gas claim

Washington, March 24 - Silver Point Capital Fund LP acquired a $12.77 million claim against NEGT Trading - Power LP from the Longacre Master Fund Ltd., according to a March 23 filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryland, Greenbelt Division.

National Energy & Gas Trading is a unit of National Energy & Gas Transmission Inc, which is also in Chapter 11.

The Chapter 11 case number for the Bethesda, Md.-based energy trading company is 03-30641. Its parent's case number is 03-30459.
