Moody's assigns LyondellBasell notes Baa2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned Baa2 ratings to the guaranteed senior unsecured notes of LYB International Finance III, LLC (LyondellBasell). These notes are guaranteed by LyondellBasell Industries NV.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including the funding of the Sasol joint venture and refinancing of notes that mature in 2021 and 2022, as well as the term loan. The outlook is stable.

"LyondellBasell is taking the opportunity to access the market to push out maturities and fund the recently announced Sasol joint venture," said John Rogers, a senior vice president at Moody's and lead analyst on LyondellBasell.

The outlook is stable.
