Livermore Investments makes key appointment to take CLO platform to 'next level'

By Cristal Cody

Tupelo, Miss., Sept. 5 - Livermore Investments Group Ltd. announced on Thursday a new key appointment to advance its CLO platform.

The company reported that Marc Boatwright, formerly senior vice president, portfolio manager and team leader at ING Investment Management LLC's senior loan group, will join Livermore to launch a credit investment platform.

"We are confident that Marc's outstanding background and track record will help us take the group's existing CLO platform and expertise to the next level successfully," Noam Lanir, chief executive officer of Livermore, said in the release.

Livermore reports that it has built a strong track record investing in senior secured loans through structured credit vehicles, primarily CLO equity and mezzanine tranches.

The group "has been and continues to be a lead investor in new issue CLOs," the release said.

At ING, Boatwright served as the lead portfolio manager for 13 of ING's CLOs, including the three CLOs, Phoenix CLO I, Ltd., Phoenix CLO II, Ltd. and Phoenix CLO III, Ltd., for which ING was appointed as replacement manager and all seven of the CLOs that ING has issued from 2011 through 2013.

Boatwright joined ING in 2007 to organize the ING senior loan group's alternative credit business.

Livermore is an investment company based in Road Town, British Virgin Islands with offices also in Zurich, Cyprus and Luxembourg.
