Levitz Furniture launches closing sales at all 76 stores

Pittsburgh, Dec. 6 - Levitz Furniture has begun the store closing sales at all 76 of its stores, and more than $165 million of furniture and accessory inventory is being liquidated, according to a company news release.

As previously reported, the sales are being managed by Hilco Merchant Resources LLC, Tiger Capital Group LLC and SB Capital Group LLC.

Real estate disposition will be managed by HRE Holdings LLC, a unit of Hilco Real Estate, LLC, and Kimco Realty Services.

Levitz, a New York-based specialty retailer of furniture, bedding and home furnishings, filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 8 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Its Chapter 11 case number is 07-13532.
