City of Kiev talks €300 million 10-year notes at 7.2-7.5%

By Aaron Hochman-Zimmerman

New York, June 1 - The City of Kiev talked a €300 million sale of 10-year notes at 7.2% to 7.5%. The city plans to price the deal shortly, according to a market source.

Citigroup will take the lead with the books and is joined by Deutsche Bank and UBS.

The bond offering comes amid the prospect of further protests and possibly new elections in the Ukraine as pro-Western president Viktor Yushchenko negotiates with parliamentary rivals over the timing of the vote, according to a report in Friday's New York Times.
