Jack Cooper Ventures five-member unsecured creditors committee named

Pittsburgh, Aug. 21 – Jack Cooper Ventures, Inc.’s official committee of unsecured creditors was appointed on Aug. 19 by U.S. trustee Nancy J. Gargula, according to a notice filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

The committee members are Brad R. Berliner of Central States, Southeast and Southwest Areas Pension Fund, based in Chicago; Sara G. Geenen of the Previant Law Firm of Milwaukee, representing Teamsters National Automobile Transporters Industry Negotiating Committee; Walter H. Curchak of Loeb & Loeb LLC of New York, representing U.S. Bank NA; Lisa Schaures of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, PC of Seattle, representing Selland Auto Transport; and Rachel Guin, of Fletcher Van Gilder, LLP of Fort Wayne, Ind., representing Harrison Shaw.

Jack Cooper is a specialty transportation and other logistics provider based in Kansas City, Mo. The company filed bankruptcy on Aug. 6 under Chapter 11 case number 19-62393.
