Moody's rates Japan Expressway bonds Aa3

Moody's Japan K.K. said it assigned an Aa3 rating to Japan Expressway Holding and Debt Repayment Agency's ¥10 billion series 122 senior secured bonds due 2024.

The outlook is stable.

The rating Aa3 reflects the agency's strong links with the government of Japan (Aa3, stable).

Moody's said it believes that the creditworthiness of the agency reflects that of the sovereign, given its importance to Japan's transportation network, as well as the high level of credit support from, and the heavy involvement of, the government in its operations.
