Moody’s assigns Inter-American notes Aa1

Moody’s Investors Service said it assigned Inter-American Investment Corp.’s planned senior unsecured floating local notes with a three-year tenor, due Oct. 20, 2023, Bidinv 1-20 an Aa1 global scale rating and Aaa.mx Mexico national rating.

Inter-American will sell up to Ps. 2 billion in notes.

“Moody’s credit view of IIC balances reflects its robust capitalization and financial management, and strong asset performance despite its private sector focus. The institution’s close relationship with the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB, Aaa stable) also supports the credit profile,” Moody’s said in a press release.
