Moody's upgrades Eli Lilly
Moody's Investors Service said it upgraded the senior unsecured long-term ratings of Eli Lilly and Co. to A1 from A2 and revised the outlook to stable from positive.
“The upgrade reflects Moody's expectations for a substantial increase in Lilly's revenue, earnings and cash flow stemming from recent and upcoming product launches. These include continuation of strong growth of Mounjaro in type 2 diabetes and the anticipated approvals and launches of tirzepatide in obesity and donanemab in Alzheimer's disease,” the agency said in a press release.
The stable outlook indicates robust growth and conservative financial policies, moderated by its ongoing concentration in the diabetes/metabolic therapeutic category.
