Moody's assigns Aaa to EIB digital bond

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an Aaa senior unsecured rating to the European Investment Bank's €100 million blockchain-based bond with a 2.507% coupon.

This offering follows EIB’s first digital bond issuance on a blockchain in April 2021.

“The rating mirrors the EIB's long-term issuer rating of Aaa and its stable outlook,” the agency said in a press release.
