Desert Home Care gets court approval to sell assets to DAP Health

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., March 13 – Borrego Community Health Foundation, which does business as Desert Home Care, received approval to sell its assets to Desert AIDS Project, doing business as DAP Health, according to an order filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of California.

DAP, the winning bidder at auction, offered a cash consideration of $50 million, payment of cure costs, assumption of liabilities and funding of pre-closing net operational cash flow losses.

Altamed Health Services Corp. was named backup bidder, as previously reported.

The San Diego-based provider of in-home skilled nursing services filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Sept. 12, 2022 under case number 22-02384.
