DoubleLine launches Low Duration Emerging Markets Fixed Income Fund

By Toni Weeks

San Luis Obispo, Calif., April 7 - DoubleLine Capital LP announced in a press release the launch of the DoubleLine Low Duration Emerging Markets Fixed Income Fund.

Mark W. Christensen, Su Fei Koo and Luz M. Padilla are the portfolio managers.

Although it may invest in securities of any maturity or duration, the investment team seeks to construct the portfolio with a dollar-weighted average effective duration of three years or less. Eligible fund holdings include securities from sovereign issues, quasi-sovereign issues and private (non-government) issues from the emerging markets debt universe.

As previously noted, the fund seeks long-term total return and will normally invest in at least three emerging market countries. The fund may invest without limit in investments of any currency but expects to invest substantially in dollar-denominated investments. It may invest in obligations of any credit quality.

The fund offers class I and class N shares. Ticker symbols are "DBLLX" and "DELNX," respectively.

There are no shareholder fees. Including management fees of 0.5% and taking into account the effects of a fee waiver and reimbursement agreement, total annual fund operating expenses are expected to be 0.6%.

DoubleLine also launched a second fixed-income fund, the DoubleLine Flexible Income Fund. This fund seeks current income and capital appreciation using top-down active asset allocation among market sectors in the fixed-income universe and by bottom-up securities selections. Investments teams specializing in each sector select the investments in their respective sectors. The fund invests in a wide variety of fixed-income instruments, including U.S. Government securities, corporate debt securities, mortgage- and asset-backed securities, foreign debt securities, including emerging market debt securities, loans and high-yield debt securities.

Los Angeles-based DoubleLine Capital LP is the investment adviser to the funds.
