Doane Pet Care plans $200 million note offering

St. Louis, Mo., July 10 - Doane Pet Care Co. announced it is contemplating an offering of approximately $200 million of senior notes "in a private issuance during the second half of 2002, subject to market conditions."

Proceeds will be used to repay existing debt, according to the Brentwood, Tenn.-based private label pet food company.
