Chesapeake Energy buys back $13 million senior notes

New York, March 28 - Chesapeake Energy Corp. said it bought back $13.0 million of 7.875% senior notes due 2004 during March at a price of $13.7 million including $400,000 of accrued interest.

The Oklahoma City, Okla. independent gas producer (B1/B+) said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission it now has $137 million of the 7.875% senior notes outstanding.
