Cheniere Energy postpones $500 million 10-year notes offer, cites market conditions

By Paul A. Harris

St. Louis, April 19 - Cheniere Energy Inc. postponed its $500 million offering of 10-year senior notes (B3/B+) on Tuesday due to market conditions, according to a market source.

Price talk in the 8¾% area had surfaced late in the April 11 week.

JP Morgan and Credit Suisse First Boston were joint bookrunners.

Proceeds were to be used to fund a three-year interest reserve as well as for capital expenditures and for general corporate purposes.

Cheniere is a Houston-based provider of liquified natural gas services.
