CHC Group announces William L. Transier named to board of directors

Pittsburgh, May 9 – CHC Group Ltd. said William L. Transier has been appointed to its board of directors, effective immediately.

According to a company news release, Transier is an independent class II director, and his term runs until CHC’s 2018 annual general meeting of shareholders. He was also elected to serve on the board’s audit committee and health, safety and environment committee.

Transier is the founder and has served as the chief executive officer of Transier Advisors, LLC since 2015. Before that, he served as the chairman, CEO and president of Endeavour International Corp.

Since August 2014, Transier has been a member of the board of Paragon Offshore plc.

Transier graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor of business administration with honors in accounting. He received his masters in business administration from Regis University, attended the International Program at Wharton Business School and studied law at the University of Houston Law Center.

Based in Richmond, B.C., CHC is a commercial helicopter operator. It filed for Chapter 11 on May 5 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas under case number 16-31854.
