Central Garden & Pet files automatic shelf registration

Knoxville, Tenn., Aug. 16 - Central Garden & Pet Co. filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3-ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers debt securities, subsidiary guarantees of debt securities, common stock, class A common stock, preferred stock and warrants. Securities may be convertible.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including acquisitions, repayment or refinancing of borrowings, working capital or capital expenditures.

Walnut Creek, Calif.-based Central Garden is a marketer and producer of products for the pet and lawn and garden supplies markets.
