Moody's rates Cabei notes A1

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A1 global scale rating and an Aaa.mx national scale rating to the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (Cabei)'s proposed senior unsecured local notes due Oct. 20, 2020.

The total issuance amount of Cabei's local notes will be for up to Ps. 2 billion, the agency said.

Cabei is the largest multi-lateral lender in Central America with nearly 50% share of total disbursements in the region, Moody's said.

Its mission is to promote the economic integration and the balanced economic and social development of its regional member countries, the agency said.
