S&P assigns BBB+ to Carnival notes

Standard & Poor's said it assigned its BBB+ issue-level rating to Carnival Corp.'s proposed €500 million senior unsecured notes due 2021.

Carnival plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes.

All other ratings, including the BBB+/A-2 corporate credit ratings, remain unchanged.

The outlook is stable.
