S&P affirms Cambodia

Standard & Poor's said it affirmed Cambodia's long-term and short-term sovereign credit ratings at B+ and B, respectively. Its transfer and convertibility assessment is at BB-.

The outlook is stable.

The ratings reflect vulnerabilities to macroeconomic stability, a low-base dollarized economy and limited fiscal flexibility against growth prospects. However, Cambodia's strong growth potential and close engagement with donors provide support for the ratings, the agency said.
