Former Charlotte Russe Holding eyes three-month exclusivity extension

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Dec. 2 – CR Holding Liquidating, Inc., formerly Charlotte Russe Holding, Inc., is seeking an extension of its exclusive periods for filing and soliciting votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a motion filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

CR Holding is asking the court to extend its exclusive plan-filing period by 90 days through March 2 from Dec. 2 and the solicitation period through April 28 from Jan. 29.

According to the motion, the company’s efforts throughout its Chapter 11 cases have been focused on maximizing the value of its assets for the benefit of creditors.

“In light of the complexity of these Chapter 11 cases and the significant progress made thus far, the extensions requested herein are necessary to allow the negotiation, filing, solicitation and confirmation of a Chapter 11 plan,” the motion said.

A hearing is scheduled for Jan. 3.

Charlotte Russe is a San Diego-based women's apparel company. The company filed bankruptcy on Feb. 3, 2019 under Chapter 11 case number 19-10210.
