China Reinsurance plans dollar-denominated notes, taps seven banks

Morgantown, W.Va., Feb. 27 – China Reinsurance (Group) Corp. is proposing to issue dollar-denominated notes, according to a company announcement.

The notes will be issued through subsidiary China Reinsurance Finance Corp. Ltd.

China International Capital Corp. Hong Kong Securities Ltd., Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corp. Ltd., Bank of China Ltd., China Everbright Bank Co., Ltd., Hong Kong Branch, China Galaxy International Securities (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd., CCB International Capital Ltd. and China Merchants Securities (HK) Co., Ltd. are the joint bookrunners and joint lead managers for the planned Regulation S offering.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes and investments in offshore projects.

The reinsurance company is based in Beijing.
