Crescent Jewelers exclusivity hearing extended to April 11

New York, April 7 - Crescent Jewelers' hearing on its request to extend its exclusive periods was continued to April 11.

The Oakland, Calif.-based retailer wants to extend its exclusive period to file a plan of reorganization to July 7 from April 8 and the period to solicit votes to Sept. 5 from June 7.

A hearing is scheduled for April 7.

Crescent filed for bankruptcy in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California on Aug. 11, 2004. Its Chapter 11 case number is 04-44416.
