Credit Suisse plans CS global basket notes linked to eight commodities

By Angela McDaniels

Tacoma, Wash., March 7 - Credit Suisse AG, Nassau Branch plans to price CS global basket notes due March 31, 2015 linked to a basket of commodities, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The basket includes equal weights of copper, sugar, Brent crude oil, corn, nickel, cotton, soybeans and silver.

The notes will pay a coupon each year equal to the sum of the weighted components returns of the basket commodities, subject to a floor of zero. If a basket commodity's return is positive or flat, its component return will be fixed at 16% to 21%. The exact percentage will be set at pricing. If a basket commodity's return is negative, its component return will be the greater of the commodity return and negative 25%.

The notes (Cusip: 22546E2G8) are expected to price March 25 and settle March 31.

Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC is the underwriter.
